Robert T. Foard, Jr.
Bob Foard has lived in the Chesapeake City area his entire life. He is a graduate of Bohemia Manor High School in Chesapeake City, the Pittsburgh Institute of Mortuary Science, and Towson State University in Baltimore.
A licensed funeral director since 1975, he is a past President of the Maryland State Board of Morticians, and a member of both the Maryland and Delaware Funeral Directors Associations. He is also a member of the Monument Builders Association of North America and the Cremation Association of North America (CANA).
Known for his active commitment to the surrounding communities, Bob has also served as President of the Rising Sun Lions Club and the Rising Sun Business Association, President of Newark Morning Rotary, President of Newark Senior Center Board of Directors, a member of Cecil County Chamber of Commerce, and Master Counselor of the De Molay Lodge in Elkton.
Bob and his wife, Patti, have two children – Whitney Montana and Madison Taylor.
A veteran in the industry, Richard graduated from Eckels College of Mortuary Science in 1951, and has been a funeral director and embalmer for over 50 years. A lifelong native of Rising Sun, he is a member of Bethel Lutheran Church in Northeast Maryland and has been on the R.T. Foard staff since 1985.
Louis A. Fiorucci, Jr.
Louis is a graduate of Grove City College in Grove City, Pennsylvania, with a BA degree in political science and business administration. He brings his 20 years of customer service experience to R.T Foard, and is involved in all aspects of funeral service. He completed his Cremation Certification through CANA, and graduated from Pittsburgh Institute of Mortuary Science in January of 2006. In addition to his duties as a licensed funeral director, Lou is responsible for the administration of our on-site crematory.
Lou lives in New Castle, DE and is married with two children.
Sarah M. Frey
Sarah was born and raised in Sherman, NY, a small farming community in the Great Lakes region. She received her Associates degree in Graphic Design, graduating with honors from Briarcliffe College. Sarah continued on to obtain her B.A. in Anthropology and Religious Studies, graduating summa cum laude from the University of Albany.
Despite her passion for academia, Sarah decided family and community ties along with the needs of the greater public were of the highest importance. Her enthusiasm to serve is what led her to funeral services. She received her Mortuary Science degree in the spring of 2013 from the Community College of Baltimore County.
Diana M. Russell
Diana M. Russell is a 1984 graduate from Aberdeen High School in Aberdeen, MD. She carries Maryland and Delaware insurance licenses in both Property & Casualty Insurance and Life & Health Insurance. Her career in funeral service began in June of 2004. Some of her community activities include being a member of the Greater Rising Sun Chamber of Commerce, also having served on the Board of Directors for the Greater Rising Sun Chamber of Commerce. She was also chairperson of the Sunfest Festival in 2004 and 2005 in Rising Sun. She is also an active participate in the Cecil County Chamber of Commerce for R. T. Foard Funeral Home.
Diana and her husband, Rusty, live on their family farm named The Double R Farm where they raise Registered Quarter Horses and Paint Horses. Together they have four daughters, Colleen, Sara, Julie, Rachel and several grandchildren. She enjoys spending time with her family, raising & showing Western Pleasure Horses and traveling.
Accounting and Finance
Amanda is a 1994 graduate of Perryville High School in Perryville, MD. She worked previously for R. T. Foard Funeral Home from 1997 – 2010 before deciding to stay at home with her children, she then returned to R. T. Foard in November of 2015. She is an active member of Pleasant View Baptist Church in Port Deposit, MD where she sings in the adult choir and directs the youth choir.
Her husband, Craig and their 3 boys, CJ, Zachary and Cody live in Conowingo, MD on their family farm named Faint Away Farm where they raise registered Myotonic goats. She enjoys watching her boys play baseball, reading, camping, tennis and singing.
Certified Crematory Operator
Jeff was born and raised in Newark and is a graduate of Newark High School. Following high school, he enlisted into the U.S. Marine Corps. He then went to work for the federal government as a firefighter and paramedic. After retiring from government service, he was a representative for Snap-On Tools; also at the time, he was working with the Office of the Chief Medical Examiner as a forensic investigator for Cecil County.
Jeff is a certified Crematory Operator with Cremation Association of North America and is also involved in transfers and other needs in the day-to-day operation of the funeral home.
Jeff is active in the Community Fire Company of Rising Sun where he is a life member and is a member of the Mason Dixon American Legion Post 194. Jeff has two children, Meghan and Jeffrey, Jr. and enjoys taking them boating on the Chesapeake Bay.
Family Memorial Consultant
Jason Rush graduated from North East High School in 2000. He later went on to attend James Madison University in Harrisonburg, VA where he obtained his B.S. in Social Science. Jason is currently working to obtain a degree in Mortuary Science from the Pittsburg Institute of Mortuary Science. He also works as a family consultant for R.T. Foard Memorial Company designing granite and bronze monuments for the tri state area. When Jason is not working, he likes to visit his log home in Alderson, WV to go fishing, hunting, and four wheeling.
Apprentice Funeral Director
Whitney M. Foard is from North East, Maryland and is the oldest daughter of Robert and Patti Foard. She graduated from Rising Sun High School in 2011, and Loyola University Maryland in 2015 where she received her Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration with a concentration in Management.
She studied abroad in Cork, Ireland for a full semester where she was able to travel to many countries throughout Europe. This gave her the opportunity to experience many unique cultures as well as the ability to learn about different lifestyles and customs.
Whitney has been working part time for R.T Foard Funeral Home since 2012. She is attending the Mortuary Science Program at the Community College of Baltimore County (CCBC) where she will pursue her dreams of becoming a licensed funeral director and learn how to better serve her hometown community.
In her spare time, Whitney enjoys traveling, reading, and spending time with her family, friends, and beloved dogs.
Apprentice Funeral Director
Amanda Mark graduated from Perryville High School in 1998. She has since attended Cecil College, Del Tech Community College, and graduated from the Pittsburg Institute of Mortuary Science in 2016. Amanda’s new goal is working towards completing her Funeral Director apprenticeships in both Maryland and Delaware. Amanda currently lives in Bear, Delaware with her husband and pets. She enjoys spending time with family and friends as well as reading.
Lance T. Frati
Apprentice Funeral Director
Lance Frati is a lifetime resident of Newark, DE. He attended St. Mark’s High School, graduating in 2012. In pursuit of his interest in the funeral profession, Lance went on to attend Northampton Community College in Bethlehem, PA and graduated with an A.S. in Funeral Service Education. He was also the president of the Sigma Phi Sigma, funeral service club. Lance is a licensed funeral director in the state of Delaware, as well as a certified Crematory Operator with the Cremation Association of North America. He is currently serving as an apprentice funeral director in the state of Maryland. Lance enjoys meeting new people, spending time in Ocean City, MD during the summer and snowboarding in the winter. If you see Lance and ask him how it is going, his response will be along the lines of, “just living the dream.”
Taylor is a 2013 graduate of Rising Sun High School and lifetime resident of Elkton, MD. She attended Cecil College, where she was a member of the Phi Theta Kappa Honor Society, and graduated with an A.S. in Biology in the spring of 2016. Taylor is currently attending Towson University to further her education in the biological science field. Her career in funeral service began in January of 2014. Her hobbies include baking and adventuring outdoors with her dog, Blake.
Melissa Boris was born and raised in the suburbs of Washington, DC. She attended University of Maryland for two years before starting her a career in Human Resources. She worked for several different companies performing interviews, placements, sales and marketing before leaving the workforce to raise her two children. During that time she volunteered yearly at her children’s elementary school. Her career in funeral service began in April of 2015. She is a member of Way of Life Church.
Melissa enjoys gardening, hiking, camping and spending time with her children.
Mary Konwinski recently retired from the Blood Bank of Delmarva where she was Manager of Community Relations. An employee for 29 years, Mary oversaw all communications including BBD’s website and social media. She was the chief speech writer for the executive team and the board, and editor of BBD publications. She also was responsible for grant writing, direct mail and other fundraising efforts. Mary directed BBD special events including its 60th Anniversary Celebration in 2014. She is a freelance writer and consultant and recently launched her new business, MGK Writing Solutions, which provides assistance with written communications, copy editing, and public relations.
Mary is a graduate of Ursuline Academy (DE) and Manhattanville College (NY). She is a past president of Newark Morning Rotary Club and previously served on its Board. She lives in Newark, DE.
Jesse is a graduate of Rising Sun High School and spent four years in the U.S. Airforce. He worked for Nationwide Insurance Company for 33 years. Now retired, he is a part-time funeral assistant.
He is a member of the Elk Lodge No. 1564, the American Legion Post 194, Janes United Methodist Church, and since 1967, the Greater Rising Sun Chamber of Commerce.
Eric is a Delaware native and has resided in Newark since 1978. He is an active charter member and past president for the Morning Newark Rotary Club. Prior to joining R.T.Foard, Eric worked in the field of Emergency Medicine for twenty-five years, retiring from New Castle County Emergency Medical Services in 1998. After retirement, he worked for a short time in the insurance industry before joining an auto dealership and selling automobiles for seven years. He is now a part-time funeral assistant, assisting families in all aspects of the funeral service.
Eric is married to Dr. Christine Cannon, a retired nursing professor at the University of Delaware who now works as a consultant with the Delaware Community Foundation. They have three children and two grandchildren.
Eric emphasizes his purpose to help eliminate stress for the families whenever possible during these most difficult times.
Ronald P. Reese, Sr.
Ron is a 1964 graduate of Rising Sun High School. Formerly UAW Health and Safety Representative for Chrysler LLC in Newark, DE, he retired in June of 2000 after 35 years of service.
Ron’s accomplishments include earning a private pilot license and his Maryland Real Estate License, and receiving a Health and Safety Specialist Certification from Ferris State University in Detroit, MI and a CETP Certification for Propane Delivery. Ron also graduated and acquired a license from the Central School of Beauty in Wilmington, DE in the mid 1960’s.
Ron married his wife Linda in 1968. Together they have two children and one grandson and currently reside in Rising Sun.
G. Edward Ginder
G. Edward Ginder, born and raised in Lancaster County, PA and moved to Cecil County to start his career on leaving Elizabethtown College, where he majored in Business Administration. Ed was and has been actively involved in volunteer work in Elkton and Cecil County. He served as vice president and past board member of the YMCA of Cecil County, past board member and volunteer for 28 years with the Cecil County Special Olympics. He was honored as being named “Volunteer of the Year” by the organization in 1988. He also co-chaired the Elkton Bicentennial Committee, was elected as Town Commissioner for Elkton, and chaired the Administrative Board for the Elkton United Methodist Church. Ed has also coached numerous youth and adult sports teams.
Prior to joining R. T. Foard Funeral Home, Jeff Clewer retired from the Cecil County Sheriff’s Office as Director of Corrections. During his professional career he actively participated in various local and state associations and committees. He also has volunteered as a mentor and coach for Cecil County Special Olympics and currently serves as Vice President on the Board of Directors of Haven House, a drug and alcohol treatment program located in Elkton, Md. When time permits, Jeff enjoys golfing and spending time at the shore with his wife Stephanie.....he always finds time for a cup of dark roast coffee early in the morning to start his day.
Jonathan has lived in Newark since 2005 and loves to help people. He currently pastors a local church. He also serves as a mentor, volunteer board member, former Little League coach, and fire company chaplain. He also loves serving as a substitute high school teacher and as an instructor for future pastors.
Jonathan married his wife, Kim, in 1995. He is the proud dad of two teenagers.
He enjoys walking, reading, writing, and spending time with his family.
Dennis was born and raised in Newark, Delaware and is a graduate of Newark High School. Dennis is a life member of Aetna Hose Hook and Ladder Co. Newark, Delaware, with forty one years in the fire service. He has two children Dominic and Jennifer. Dennis has recently retired as an industrial maintenance technician and millwright. In his spare time, he plays music. He is an accomplished drummer and also plays the guitar.
David is currently a Fire Protection Specialist within the City of Newark, DE. He was born and raised in Hackettstown, New Jersey before moving to Newark in 2015. David has been a part of the Volunteer Fire Service since 1993 and continues to do so today. He worked for a family owned and operated funeral home in New Jersey from 2005-2011.
David is married to his wife, Terri, and they have two boys, Tristan and Zachary. The boys are very active in sports and enjoy all that the State of Delaware has to offer.
Paul is a graduate of Elkton High School class of 1972 and has been a Cecil County resident for more than 60 years. Upon graduating, he worked 15 years for the Amtrak railroad before starting his own insurance agency in White Marsh. After representing Erie Insurance for more than 15 years he decided to retire.
Paul married to his wife, Denise, in 1978 and together they have raised two children, Matt and Erin. In his spare time he enjoys boating and spending time with his granddaughter. Paul resides in the community of Elkmore where he serves on the board of both the Home Improvement Association and the Community Pier Association.
